Today, on the eleventh anniversary of the September 11th attacks, we honor the memory of those who lost their lives on that tragic day. In the face of those who sought to isolate and immobilize us through violence and destruction, we came together as one nation and began to rebuild. Standing together in the face of this tragedy, we have grown stronger as a country and so we mark this day each year with a National Day of Service and Remembrance – collecting food for the hungry and helping our neighbors in need.
Every American has been touched in some way by the attacks, and in the First District we honor and remember those with ties to our communities who lost their lives on September 11, 2001:
Tara Kathleen Shea Creamer, Westfield
Brian Joseph Murphy, Westfield
Daniel Patrick Trant, Westfield
Mikael Carstanjen, Turners Falls
Lindsay S. Morehouse, Williamstown
